Piloting Underway for the QAR Standard!
The AIM Platform is currently piloting the draft Intervention Quality, Accounting, and Reporting (QAR) Standard and Guidance with 20+ global companies. The QAR Standard, the second core output of the AIM Platform, builds on Criterion 2–11 from the draft criteria released in May 2024 and is designed to help companies account for and report on interventions deemed to be “associated with a company’s value chain” per the AIM Platform Association Test.

Feedback from Draft Association Test Public Comment Period Under Review
The stakeholder comment period for the draft Association Test was open from February 10 to April 15, 2025. Stakeholders from all sectors were encouraged to provide feedback to help ensure that the final version of the test would be clear, implementable, and effective in helping companies identify impactful decarbonization interventions across their value chains. A summary of stakeholder feedback will be made available to the public following the conclusion of the comment period and after the AIM Platform Secretariat and Governing Committee has reviewed the feedback.

Draft Association Test Pilot Program Completed
In November 2024, the AIM Platform announced the pilot program for the draft Association Test. The Association Test, which covered content from and built upon Criterion 1 of the draft AIM Platform Criteria, included requirements and guidance for determining whether an intervention was associated with a company’s value chain. The pilot program ran from January to May 2025, during which feedback was gathered from participating companies to ensure the Association Test was understandable and actionable. Insights from the pilot program were slated to be incorporated into the final AIM Platform Standard and Guidance, scheduled for release early 2026.

Timeline to Publication
The AIM Platform, launched in 2023, aims to release the completed Standard and Guidance by early 2026.
