Pilot Testing
Quality, Accounting, & Reporting (QAR) Standard Pilot
The AIM Platform is looking for companies to pilot test its forthcoming draft Quality, Accounting & Reporting (QAR) Standard and provide feedback informed by real-world use.
The QAR Standard, the second core output of the AIM Platform, builds on Criterion 2–11 from the draft AIM Platform Criteria, released in May 2024 and is designed to help companies account for and report on interventions deemed to be “associated with a company’s value chain” per the AIM Platform Association Test.
Following a similar approach to our Association Test pilot, we are looking for companies who:
• Operate in diverse sectors,
• Have real-world interventions linked to their value chains (as per the Association Test)
• Want to credibly account and report on indirect decarbonization efforts
• Allow public use of their name/case studies (preferred but not required)
Interested in participating? Fill out the interest form below by July 21, 2025.
Association Test Pilot
In early 2025, the AIM Platform piloted the Association Test, a key component of the Advanced and Indirect Mitigation (AIM) Platform. The test focused primarily on Criterion 1 from the draft AIM Platform Criteria, released in May 2024.
The AIM Platform Association Test is designed to help companies assess whether a potential emissions reduction investment, referred to as an intervention, is sufficiently associated with their value chain. This assessment is a critical step in determining whether the intervention can count toward a company’s climate target.
The draft version of the Association Test was shared with participating companies in January 2025, and the pilot ran through April 2025. Feedback from this pilot is now being used to revise and improve the test to ensure it is practical and applicable across sectors.
The final version of the Association Test is expected to be published in late 2025, alongside the Quality, Accounting, and Reporting (QAR) Standard.
