Introducing the QAR Standard and Guidance: Unlocking Credible Scope 3 Decarbonization
On October 16, the AIM Platform hosted a public webinar to introduce the QAR Standard and Guidance and explore how it can support broader corporate decarbonization strategies. The session provided an overview of the Standard’s key focus areas and highlighted the priority topics for which the AIM Platform is actively seeking stakeholder feedback during the consultation period. An increasing number of Paris-aligned company targets include ambitious commitments to tackle value chain emissions—also known as indirect emissions. However, the current emissions reporting guidance lacks methods to credibly calculate and claim emissions reduction resulting from value-chain investments.
